Identity Risk Remediation Tickets

Create a Ticket

You can create a Jira ticket to track the remediation work for identity risks. To create tickets, you must be a user with identities write permissions in the Lacework Console.

info

Before you can create a Jira ticket, a Jira alert channel must already exist in the Lacework Console. If one does not exist, create one before continuing. You can use a bidirectional integration. Bidirectional updates will work for all supported features but will not work for remediations within Identities. This means the remediation tickets in Identities do not reflect ticket status changes in Jira. You do not need to create an alert rule for remediation ticket creation.

To create a ticket:

  1. Go to Identities > Explore: Identities.
  2. Click the identity you want to view and click the Remediations tab.
  3. Click the remediation you want to create a ticket for and scroll to the Ticketing section.
  4. Click Create ticket.
  5. Provide a summary and description of the ticket.
The description will also include the suggestion and rationale provided by Lacework and a link to the Lacework Console dashboard.
  6. Select the Jira alert channel where you want the ticket to be created.
After you select the channel, Lacework populates the channel details, which depend on your Jira configuration. Details that Lacework populates could include the project key, domain, and issue type. Your Jira integration defines the project and issue type that gets created.
  7. Click Create ticket.

The remediation now has a link to its Jira ticket.
