Before Installation

This topic describes the required connectivity, proxies, URLs, IP addresses amd certificates you must allowlist to enable the Lacework agent to communicate with the platform
📄️ Create Agent Access Token
The Lacework agent requires a valid agent access token to successfully authenticate with the Lacework server.

The Lacework agent can retrieve user defined tags and other metadata from the AWS EC2 instances on which the agent is installed and display them in the Lacework Console. This enables you to do the following:

📄️ Troubleshoot a Failed Installation
Once installed and running, the agent starts collecting and batching data. The data collected is periodically transmitted over an encrypted channel to Lacework servers for analysis. It may take up to 2 hours to construct a base graph and for the Lacework Console to populate. Lacework sends a notification to the email address used during registration to inform the user when results are first available in the Lacework Console.
