May 2022 Linux Agent Release
v5.6
Release Notes
- Ecosystem certification - Lacework adds certified support for the following ecosystems. Supported ecosystems ensure that customers can deploy our agent to these environments with assurance that there are no security gaps in their workloads. For this release, the agent supports:
- Alpine Linux 3.15.4
- Kali Linux 2022.1
- Rocky Linux 8.5
- SUSE 15 SP2 and 15 SP3
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)
- You can now specify agent configuration in an environmental variable. This is useful in Fargate deployments where access to config.json is limited.
- This release adds scan mode to the Lacework agent to reduce CPU usage. When scan mode is enabled, the agent performs host vulnerability and FIM scans only. Currently, the Lacework console will not show the agent as being in scan mode.
- This release improves container image reporting for single container platform deployment through AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
